Investing in the Next Generation of the Construction Industry

7-11 Materials was excited to host a booth for a “Construction Career Exploration” for high school students here in the Central Valley. This trades day event, held on October 18 at San Joaquin Delta College and put on by the CIE Foundation, was a way to inspire students to pursue careers in the construction industry.

Hundreds of students were brought to one location to speak with business about all levels of opportunities within the construction industry. From engaging conversations and responding to questions, to hands on applications provided by some of the sponsors, the students gained some beneficial knowledge about career choices for their futures. In the end, we hope that we provided education regarding our industry to inspire them to choose a future at some of our facilities!
