VSS Roadshows Pay Big Dividends

One of the ways VSS International, Inc. cares for its customers is by hosting several one-day pavement preservation seminars during the winter months to promote pavement preservation throughout various markets. Over the last decade these one-day seminars have been coined as “The VSS Roadshow.” The VSS Roadshow provides attendees with large amounts of information on specific topics regarding pavement preservation over the course of one day.

Many Roadshows take place in the larger context of conference halls, or movie theaters, and VSS even held a virtual conference during the pandemic. Attending a VSS Roadshow has numerous benefits, including improving communication skills, gaining expert knowledge, networking with others and renewing motivation and confidence with the communities we work in.

Specialized Knowledge from Industry Experts: The VSS Roadshow, especially those hosted in towns and cities we work in, attract highly motivated public work employees who work within the pavement preservation sector. While attending they get to hear from VSS employees with firsthand experience and knowledge in our field and get to ask those same experts for input on their city’s specific challenges.

Focus and Intensity: The Roadshow provides an enormous amount of information over the course of a day, making them well-suited to employees who don’t have time to take extended courses. The detailed focus requires employees to take notes and come prepared to absorb as much information as possible and allows employees a chance to gain a large amount of knowledge in very little time.
