7-11 Materials – Meeting the Challenges of Chicken Ranch Casino Project

Updated: Jan 31, 2023

In the spring of 2022, 711 materials in the Sonora market kicked off its biggest project to date, The Chicken Ranch Casino. What began as slow but steady pours for footings and underground, turned into large quantity with high production slab on grade, walls, columns, and slab on metal deck pours. The need for rigorous job schedules, meeting challenging mix designs, and managing employee hours for production demand all while ensuring our standard of quality was certainly challenging.

Our team at the Table Mountain and San Andreas ready mix plants climbed into their seats to meet this challenge head on. Our loyal and trusted batch-man, Bill Miladinovich, took control at the batch panel, while our skilled drivers climbed into their mixer trucks, and we began to deliver. We are now twelve months into this project and have delivered 26,500 cubic yards of product. This more than doubled the number of yards delivered the previous year.

While we still have several thousand yards to go before completion of this project, it’s clear that without the strength and determination of our whole team we wouldn’t have been able to tackle this project. We would like to personally thank Bill Miladinovich, Aaron Rathjen, Leornard Carlson, Cesar Vargas, Stephen Green, Kevin Krause, Cody Wise, Joe Caulderon, Michael Butler, Johnny Baggot and Miles Hirschfeld for all their hard work. Way to pull together, meet the challenges and ultimately achieve success for product production, man hour execution and quality product delivered!
