The American Heart Association’s Heart Walks are more than just events—they are a chance for communities to come together to raise awareness, honor survivors, and support lifesaving research. This September, Reed Family Companies proudly participated in two Heart Walks: the 209 Lathrop walk on September 13 and the Sacramento walk on September 20.

These events gave RFC employees and their families the opportunity to walk side by side with thousands of others, united in the mission of building healthier lives and stronger communities. By joining in, RFC not only showed our support for the American Heart Association’s lifesaving work but also demonstrated our commitment to caring for the communities where we live and work.

At the 209 Lathrop Heart Walk, RFC had four teams totaling 16 RFC employees, joined the cause helping contribute to an event that raised nearly $800,000 for the AHA. Just one week later, a another four teams totaling 23 RFC employees took part in the Sacramento Heart Walk, where the community came together to raise nearly $900,000. In March 2025, for the Phoenix Heart Walk, we had 15 walkers contributed to that event, which raised $413,500 for the Phoenix area. (See more info for our team in Phoenix.) Thank you to all our employees and their families for their dedication to saving lives.

These events were powerful reminders of what we can achieve when we stand together. By walking, supporting, and giving back, RFC continues to live out our values—building Better Roads and Better Lives through care, service, and community.
