Dedicated Chief Estimator: Nick Corcoran (VSSI)

This month, the spotlight is on Nick Corcoran, the dedicated Chief Estimator from the VSS International, Inc. estimating department.

Nick Corcoran has been an invaluable asset to the team for 9 years. His commitment to establishing and perfecting our estimating systems and consistently delivering outstanding service. Nick demonstrates exceptional teamwork; therefore, he was a natural candidate to help IT get the Power BI and Customer Relationship Management Dashboards off the ground. The recent success could not have been achieved without Nick’s keen insight and experience with our estimating group, whose number of bids exceeds over 1000 annually across 14 western states.

Specifically through Nick Corcoran’s efforts working with Reed Family Companies IT Department, VSS is able to accurately track all bids, in several markets including hit rates, money left on the table, total bids won and lost, the number of bids each estimator puts out annually. The new system builds out a bid schedule that can be viewed by the team in real-time and sends out automated email reminders to bid runners.
