Empowering Excellence: Cultivating Leadership and Growth

As we turn the page to June, we are excited to highlight the theme of Empowering - a principle central to our values here at The Reed Family Companies. As part of the S.E.R.V.I.C.E. principles, the E in "Empower" serves as a reminder of the power of trust, autonomy, and development. By creating an environment where individuals can take ownership of their work and pursue new challenges, we continue to build a culture where everyone has the opportunity to succeed and thrive.


One key example of empowerment is the leadership training provided through our Superintendent/Foreman Development program. This year, we've expanded the opportunity for leadership development beyond our office-based teams to include field crew leaders at GRI and VSS. These individuals now have the chance to receive the same high-level leadership training as our office teams, gaining new skills that will elevate their ability to inspire and guide their teams to success. This expansion reinforces our belief that great leadership can emerge from any part of our organization.


Additionally, we are thrilled to showcase the Managing Oneself: Empowering Others May 2025 graduates in this month's newsletter. These individuals have shown incredible dedication to their personal and professional growth, stepping up to refine their leadership capabilities. Their commitment to learning and improvement is an inspiration to us all, reminding us that true leaders are always evolving.

But leadership at Reed Family Companies goes beyond training and certifications—it’s about taking action and embracing opportunities to lead. Whether it’s taking charge of significant projects like the July 4th Parade or connecting with colleagues at the Project Manager & Estimator Networking Event on May 2nd, these opportunities enable our employees to step into leadership roles, challenge themselves, and make meaningful contributions to our success.
