Geary Crandall - GRI

Updated: Jul 25

After more than 30 years of running the paving machine at George Reed Inc., Geary Crandall is calling it a career – and what a career it's been.

He has laid down more miles of asphalt than most of us could ever count, and has done it with focus, pride, and unmatched dedication.

Through long hours, blazing heat, early mornings, and back-to-back days when most would have tapped out, Geary just kept going. Fatigue never slowed him, and excuses were never in his vocabulary. He showed up early, stayed late, and gave every shift the same level of care and attention.

The respect Geary earned wasn't handed to him – he earned it the hard way. Day in and day out, he proved that professionalism and work ethic mattered. Whether you were a laborer, an inspector, or a superintendent, if you were on a job with Geary, you knew it would be done right.

His machine may be quiet now, but his impact is loud and clear. Congratulations, Geary – may your next chapter be filled with peace, rest, and a lot fewer early alarms.”
