GRI Earns Three APWA Sacramento Chapter Project of the Year Awards

George Reed Inc. is proud to celebrate being recognized as the contractor on three award-winning projects at the 2026 American Public Works Association (APWA) APWA Sacramento Chapter - Project of the Year Awards.


These awards recognize excellence in the management, administration, and delivery of public works projects. The program honors the strong partnerships between public agencies, designers, construction managers, and contractors that work together to build infrastructure that improves communities.


This year, George Reed Inc. was part of three transportation projects recognized for outstanding achievement across the Sacramento region:

  1. Auburn Boulevard Complete Streets, Phase 2

    Transportation – Complete Streets

    City of Citrus Heights

  2. Franklin Boulevard Complete Street

    Transportation – Complete Streets

    City of Sacramento

  3. State Streets Pavement Rehabilitation

    Transportation – Pavement Rehabilitation

    City of West Sacramento


These award-winning projects improve safety, mobility, and connectivity for residents while supporting the long-term transportation needs of their communities.

George Reed Inc. extends its gratitude to its project partners, including the City of Citrus Heights Government, City of Sacramento - Government, City of West Sacramento - Government, BENEN, Psomas, UNICO, and Gannett Fleming Construction (GFT), for their collaboration and dedication throughout every phase of these projects.
