May is Construction Safety Month. And George Reed Inc. held its annual Safety Kickoff Meeting, led by our Safety Manager, Alex Mills. This event was not just about policies; it was a celebration of our commitment to safety and the outstanding efforts of our team members.
Congratulations to Jeff Taylor, Jr., who won the top raffle prize.
Key Highlights from the Meeting:
Driver Training and Tips: We shared essential skills to enhance safety on the road.
New OSHA Hard Hat Requirements: Updated regulations were discussed to ensure compliance.
Rigging Training by All Rigging Co.: Practical lessons and tips for proper rigging.
Emergency Action Plans: We outlined strategies for effective responses to emergencies.
Injury Reporting and Fall Protection: Best practices were emphasized to minimize workplace injuries.
Heat Illness, Fire Prevention, and Heavy Equipment Safety.
PPE: Ensuring everyone knows the importance of personal protective equipment.
Workplace Violence
A big thank you to our dedicated safety team — Alex Mills, Krissy DeLeon, Jeremy Proctor, and Zach Simpson — for their hard work in making this event a success. (See GRI Employee Shout-out!) Let's continue to prioritize safety in our daily operations. Together, we can create a culture of awareness and protection.
