Updated: Jul 5, 2023

This month VSS International would like to give a big shout out to one of our Slurry Superintendents, Ivan Russ. Ivan started his career with VSSI in September of 1998 where he began working as a slurry crew squeegee man. He continued working season after season, learned new skills and took on all the different roles on the crew. Eventually Ivan was promoted to Slurry Superintendent and entrusted with his own crew. While serving as a crew superintendent, Ivan became a pro at building crews, training green hands, and knocked out stellar projects that we are all proud of. Some of the iconic projects that Ivan lead were the Pacific Coast Highway, Sequoia National Park, and Golden Gate Park just to name a few. Ivan and his crew are requested by name by the Idaho DOT year after year. In recent months, Ivan has been promoted to VSS General Slurry Superintendent. Ivan has been a dedicated and dependable member of the VSS Operations Team. We are truly grateful for his reliable service and dedication to our operations.
