Josh Smith, VSS Mechanic

VSS shops are fast-paced and require teamwork to keep everything moving smoothly. The shop teams are frequently tasked with time sensitive projects that are imperative for our success in the field.  These projects often require multiple people to complete safely and on schedule. The shop crews work together behind the scenes to ensure things just get done. 

Josh began working at VSS Arizona as a mechanic in June of 2025 and his impact was immediate. He brings a wealth of knowledge & experience that is extremely hard to find and allows us to do more specialized work in house.  He has a very positive attitude and is always willing to do whatever is needed.  Josh is a great guy, who is fun to be around and always helps those around him. The theme for this month’s shout-outs is “Empowering Our Team” and Josh exemplifies the traits that do just that.
