May's Safety Idol - Gage Stolpe!

The Safety Team is proud to recognize Gage Stolpe as RFC’s Safety Idol for the month of May 2026!

A valued member of the Fleet Maintenance Department at VSS International, Gage has served as a Mechanic at our West Sacramento facility since 2024. On a Friday afternoon as employees were heading home for the weekend, Gage noticed two VSS team members attempting to inflate a tire on a vehicle that had gone flat. Without hesitation, he stopped and offered assistance using his service truck. After inflating the tire, Gage remained with the vehicle owner for several minutes to ensure the tire was holding air properly. Recognizing the potential safety risk, Gage went a step further by following the employee onto the freeway to monitor the situation. He assured the driver that if the tire lost air again, he would pull over and provide additional assistance. In what could have been a stressful and uncertain situation, Gage demonstrated genuine care, professionalism, and a strong commitment to the safety and well-being of others. By taking time after his workday to ensure a co-worker could make it home safely, Gage embodied the values that define our culture and set a powerful example for all of us.
