Intern Roadshow: A Journey of Learning, Networking, and Discovery

This year’s Intern Roadshow was an exciting and impactful event that brought together our brightest interns for two full days of hands-on learning, networking, and professional development. The purpose of the roadshow was to provide interns with an immersive experience, offering them an inside look at the many facets of Reed Family Companies (RFC) and the incredible opportunities within our industry.
The roadshow kicked off with a warm welcome at our RFC headquarters followed by a series of tours across our business units, including VSS, 711 Materials, George Reed Inc, and Reed International. Interns had the chance to meet company leaders, ask questions, and gain deeper insights into our operations. The itinerary was designed to give them exposure to everything from construction operations and materials, civil engineering, project engineering, safety practices, and the vital role of each business unit within the broader RFC family.
A highlight of the event was networking dinner and the chance to interact with key employees provided a unique platform for the interns to learn from seasoned professionals and build connections that will help them throughout their careers.
Our goal with the Intern Roadshow was simple: to inspire, educate, and connect the next generation of leaders with the core values and operations that drive our success. The event provided interns with a well-rounded understanding of RFC’s impact on the industry and a platform to explore how their passions can align with the company’s mission.
As we reflect on the success of this year’s roadshow, we are already thinking about ways to make next year’s event even more impactful. We are grateful for the enthusiasm, curiosity, and passion that our interns brought to the experience, and we look forward to continuing to support and mentor them as they begin their professional journeys.
