Rick Gardner, 711 Materials Modesto Plant Batchman

Rick will be surpassing 14 years with 711 Materials and the Reed Family Companies on July 1st of this year. Rick came to us with experience as a mixer driver and started driving for 711 in 2010. Through his hard work, he has moved himself into the Batchman for our Modesto ready mix plant.

He is always willing to help in other locations when the opportunity comes to cover vacations or early pours.

Rick always has a positive attitude and brings good energy to the team, especially during early morning pours. His ability to keep a level head in unfavorable situations helps keep the whole team motivated and on task. He is always eager to learn and asks questions when he doesn’t understand something to ensure things go smoothly.

Rick is open minded to try different ways of doing things and is continuously giving feedback and suggestions. When not at work, Rick enjoys spending time with his wife, Lori and has a passion for Classic Cars.
