Teamwork Drives Successful Dynamics 365 Migration at Reed International

Reed International celebrates the successful migration to Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, moving from Dynamics AX 2012 to a modern, cloud-based platform. This achievement, crucial for our future HRMS strategy, highlights the power of preparation and teamwork.

Starting in December 2024, our team tackled the complexities of an ERP migration head-on. By immersing themselves in the sandbox environment early, they gained proficiency with the new system. Critical to our success were the multiple mock go-live drills. These allowed us to meticulously time and refine every step, drastically cutting down the migration process from over a week to just 48 hours.

The seamless execution from 5 PM on March 20th to 5 PM on March 22nd, 2025, involved coordinated efforts across all departments – from back office to plant operations handling time cards and inventory. Rigorous testing by power users on Sunday, March 23rd, ensured a smooth go-live the following Monday.

The smooth transition and successful first month-end close validate our team's thorough preparation. We have already leveraged the new platform to implement HRMS Goals Management for key initiatives. Our roadmap includes further advancements like AP Automation and expanded HRMS capabilities.
