Announcing the R.E.E.D. Recognition Portal

Each of us derives satisfaction from knowing that what we do at work really matters, and that we each contribute to the success of the company. While big accomplishments are noticed and celebrated in numerous ways across the Reed Family Companies, the purpose of the R.E.E.D. Recognition Portal is to make it easy for us to send a quick note of appreciation. We want to increase the recognition of those more frequent and smaller accomplishments that contribute to our positive work environment every day. Let’s strive to notice the great things happening in our workplace, and to thank those who made today a little bit brighter. Who do you notice going above or beyond expectations in their routine course of work?

When taking the time to write a brief note of appreciation in the R.E.E.D. Recognition portal, it can help to keep in mind the saying that “High Impact Recognition Covers the GAMUT.” The word “GAMUT” means the whole range or extent of something. GAMUT stands for genuine, appropriate, meaningful, unique, and timely….so think about this whole range of criteria for good recognition when you are taking the time to appreciate someone who did something special to help out. Note that the portal also allows you to recognize a team of people by adding names with the drop down. The portal encourages you to think about how their contribution ties to our S.E.R.V.I.C.E. Principles. These principles describe everyday behaviors critical to our success.

It is easy to access the R.E.E.D. Recognition portal from your company’s SharePoint website

But you don’t have to be at your desk or inside one of our sites to access it. You can get there from anywhere in the world. The link is http://recognition.reed.net. Your username is your 4-digit EmployeeID. Your password is the last 4 digits of your Social Security number. Please DO NOT share your login information with anyone.

• Take a moment to think about who has made a positive difference and then write a few words of appreciation to them in the portal.

• By using the R.E.E.D. Recognition Portal, each of us is empowered to embed real appreciation of co-workers into our regular workplace routine.

• All of us appreciate reminders of how what we do really matters. Collecting and sharing the good things happening at work can also lead to sharing of good ideas across Reed Family Companies
