Information Technologies’ New Social Media Team


In a world where online presence is becoming increasingly crucial for businesses, Reed Family Companies have taken a significant step forward by forming a dedicated social media team. This move aims to enhance the company's online visibility and engage with a wider audience. With a focus on revamping websites and creating captivating short videos, the team is set to revolutionize the companies’ social media marketing strategy.


The decision to establish a social media team was driven by the realization that a stronger online presence is essential for businesses in today's digital landscape. Recognizing the need to adapt to changing consumer behavior and preferences, Information Technologies made a strategic move to invest in social media marketing. By doing so, the Reed Family Companies aim to connect with their target audience more effectively and stay ahead of the competition.


The social media team is made up of Alexa Lopez-Ibarra and Sean Straubinger, two talented individuals with a passion for digital marketing.

Alexa graduated from Sac State with a degree in film and marketing in December 2020 and has worked in the digital communications field for over 5 years.


Sean has a diverse range of interests, including computers, photography, and creating video. Camera in hand, he has chronicalled major events and concerts, as well as done portrait shoots.


Together, Alexa and Sean form a dynamic duo that is creating content for all the Reed companies’ social media initiatives.


Since its formation in April 2023, the social media team has wasted no time in making an impact. Alexa and Sean often write the scripts, capture all the pictures and video footage, including drone footage, and compile it all into captivating videos and advertisements. One recent notable achievement is the release of their first 711 Materials driver recruitment video, which garnered an impressive 6,000+ hits within the first 24 hours:

This early success is a testament to the team's ability to create engaging content that resonates with our target audience. Additionally, they recently created a video for the KIPP Public Schools in Northern California:


Looking ahead, IT's social media team has an exciting roadmap of initiatives planned. They are currently working on revamping the all Reed companies’ websites. Additionally, they are creating a series of short videos that will provide management with a powerful tool for increased communication.


By embracing social media marketing and leveraging the talents of Alexa and Sean, the Reed Family Companies are well on their way to establishing a strong online presence. The team looks forward to working with General Managers for their social media and website needs.
