VSS Macropaver was recently featured in the Global Highways' magazine article, "Environmentally-sensitive road repairs: The use of micro surfacing equipment is allowing environmentally-sensitive road repairs in a highly protected area."
The article highlights how microsurfacing is helping preserve roadways within Washington's Mount Rainier National Park, where maintaining safe roads must be balanced with protecting one of the nation's most treasured natural environments. By addressing pavement deterioration early, agencies can extend pavement life, improve skid resistance, and reduce the need for more extensive rehabilitation. As Doug Hogue, President of VSS Macropaver, notes:
"Small investments in road maintenance can extend the life of the road indefinitely." Supporting these efforts is the VSS Macropaver CR Continuous Machine, a high-production microsurfacing system designed to deliver continuous material flow, fewer stops, and consistent application performance. Advanced computer controls automatically maintain precise material ratios, helping crews maximize productivity while creating a smooth, uniform surface.
