VSS Safety Stand-Down - May 2026

VSS International’s West Sacramento and Arizona teams came together for their Spring Safety Stand Down, reinforcing the importance of staying focused and aware on every job site.

Crews, operators, and drivers reviewed common field risks like strains, trips, and caught between hazards, then moved into hands-on training covering fire extinguisher use, vehicle brake inspections, and fall protection. These are the real-world situations our teams face daily across pavement preservation, slurry seal, and roadway maintenance projects throughout the Western United States.

The focus was simple. Build habits that carry into the field, reduce risk, and keep everyone safe. We also recognized team members who lead by example through safe driving and strong situational awareness  Congrats to all employees who received a safety award.

Safety goes beyond a stand down event. It shows up in every job, every crew, and every decision we make at VSS International.
