CalCIMA Honors GRI and 711 with Safety Awards

Updated: Nov 25, 2025

711 Materials, Inc.:

Safety Champion, Alan Goede Received Prestigious Industry Recognition in November. CalCIMA honored Alan Goede with the Outstanding Safety Leadership Award during this year's Education Conference in Anaheim, CA.

As a plant operator at the Coyote Pit for 711 Materials in Bishop, CA, Alan's journey from mixer driver to mine operator in just a few short years highlights his remarkable professional growth and dedication. His proactive approach helped transform a hazard-prone environment into a model of safety excellence.

Despite limited resources, Alan dedicated his personal time to implement critical safety improvements throughout the operation.  His strategic initiatives included relocating the dry side of the plant to a safer area and positioning a portable crusher centrally to optimize both operations monitoring and customer truck management.

These efforts culminated in the Bishop Plant achieving its first zero-citation inspection in nearly two decades through Alan's focus on preventive and restorative maintenance.

Congratulations to Alan on this well-deserved recognition!
